Broadband- The Future Of Communication And Entertainment

Broadband has changed the way people meet and greet each other and also the way they communicate. It was not long ago when people were using slow dial up connections and trying to download files that would take ages and websites that just won’t open… That is until broadband jumped into the scenario.

With time, as more and more people switch over to broadband connections, the future of communication and entertainment is destined to be changed completely and it will open up different avenues for each and every one of us.

Today there are so many products and services that rely so heavily on broadband technology that slowly it seems the entire focus is going to be to target and exploit this technology to its full potential.

·         Smart TV’s

“Your TV is not just a TV anymore” that’s because current generation smart TV’s know how to make full use of your broadband connection. They come loaded with YouTube, Skype, Picasa, money control and even Facebook access, the very same sites that you probably visit on a regular basis and are very familiar with.

·         Smartphones

Current generation mobile phones are built to exploit the full power of the internet by utilizing your broadband connection. You can surf the internet, watch videos and update your status on social networking sites in a flash.

·         Voice Over IP (VOIP)

There was a time when you had to endure hefty telephone bills just because of the frequent telephone calls abroad. But if you have a broadband connection, you can use a cheaper alternative called Voice Over IP (VOIP), it works by using your existing broadband connection to make calls to any mobile, landline or computer in the world, and With so many options available such as Skype, Fring, Truphone etc. you never have to endure hefty telephone bills again.

·         Online television channels and radio stations

Nowadays there are television channels and radio stations which are exclusively developed for the internet, but these can only be enjoyed if you have a stable and fast broadband connection, without which you would simply be unable to stream these channels and stations.

With broadband slowly beginning to emerge as a winner over other forms of internet connections, it should be a good decision to get rid of your old dial up connection and upgrade to the faster and much more stable broadband connection.

Slowly as more and more products and services begin to realize the power of broadband technology and more people upgrade to broadband, communication and entertainment will definitely never be the same again.

Be it an important email that you have been expecting from a client, catching up on the latest news as it breaks or updating your status on the social media.

Why Wi-Fi?

It’s wireless

Since Wi-Fi relies on radio signals to transmit data, it means that now you can access data at a steady flow whether you are at your desk or in the living room. Since there are no wires involved, the installation is hassle free as compared to traditional wired broadband which requires more time and money.

All-round connectivity

Wireless broadband gives you the freedom to connect all your devices which are Wi-Fi enabled to stream and synch data amongst them, such as your Smart TV, laptop and smartphone. This is not possible with wired broadband solutions.

It’s blazing fast

Current generation Wi-Fi is much faster compared to DSL and other cable connections and hundreds of times faster, than the old dial-up connections. Making webpages and other internet services load faster, thus making you more productive.

It’s secure

Current generation Wi-Fi is more secure thanks to WEP2 and 802.1 x security features guarantying a complete peace of mind and leaving you free to think and do more.

If you’re thinking of getting a new internet connection or planning to buy it for the very first time, a wireless internet solution would be the best choice, since most of the devices today are Wi-Fi optimized and you will be able to utilize them to their full potential. Internet is growing at a rapid pace and with people becoming much more tech savvy… Opting in for a DSL or a cable connection will be able to deliver only half the power of the internet at your fingertips.

The Grid- The next stage in cyber evolution

Every day we log on to the internet…. Check emails, chat with our friends and shop.

What If the internet becomes obsolete someday? What if you came to know one fine day that the internet doesn’t exist anymore? Will you be able to live without it? Well don’t fret folks, sooner or later a day will come when the internet will eventually have to die and give way to the next stage in cyber evolution.

Welcome to Grid Computing also known as the “The grid”, the technology that will eventually replace the internet, changing the way we interact with people and download information from the World Wide Web. Does the word “CERN” sound familiar to you? I am sure you have been hearing about it a lot in the news lately, mainly due to the particle experiments taking place over there.

CERN was the birthplace of the internet where Sir Tim Berners Lee invented it. Now they have come with a technology so powerful, that it can replace the internet altogether.

Imagine being able to download a full movie in less than 2 seconds, streaming simultaneous high definition movies at the same time. Sounds too good to be true? Well guess what, it will be here sooner than you can imagine.

What is “The Grid”?

When scientists at CERN started experimenting with the Large Hadron Collider in search of the God Particle, they realized that doing so would generate enough data that would create a stack of cds 40 miles high. That meant that the internet could not be used to capture that data as the equipment (wires and cables) used to run the internet was originally meant to route telephone calls and lacked the power of transmitting high speed data and could cause a global collapse.

As a result “The Grid” was born by leveraging the use of modern equipment and fiber optics that could transmit data without slowing down the network. It would enable people to take cloud computing to another level, where all our information can be stored online and accessed from anywhere on the globe.

Scientists and technologists are optimistic that the grid holds the future of information sharing as it will help us to become a true information and communication enabled world. Scientists have already realized its potential and have used it, to help design new drugs against malaria. Researchers used the grid to analyze 140m compounds - a task that would have taken a standard internet-linked PC 420 years.

As the hunger to acquire information fast and with people becoming much greedier when it comes to uploading and downloading data, Grid Computing is definitely the need of the hour. But don’t throw away your routers just yet… Since there’s still time for this technology to go global, till then just sit back and enjoy the transition… From being connected to becoming one with the world.

Tikona Broadband-The Leaders in Wireless Broadband

The internet has become an integral part of our lives today. From being just a means to keep ourselves entertained, the internet has become the new mantra of how business is taken care of nowadays. With computers and the internet becoming cheaper every year, the total user base of net users has grown exponentially across the demographics in India.

A study by Internet and Mobile Association of India has shown that about 5 to 7 million internet users are added every month in India with a huge upcoming user base in small-towns across the country. Currently there are more than 100 million internet users in the country.

Tikona Digital Networks which has one of the world’s largest savvy outdoor Wi-Fi networks providing Secured Wireless Broadband feels that it is of utmost importance that a complete broadband experience is provided to sustain this growth. Tikona Digital Networks has come up with a very innovative program to engage its users called ‘Broadband Completely’ which is a way to introduce the concept of speed, savings, services and security for internet users.

The campaign is slated to be held across 36 Indian cities and is the first of its kind “Experience first, pay later” experience for broadband users in India. According to Heramb Ranade, Head of Marketing, Tikona Digital Networks “customers today live on new innovative mobile applications and services driven by an unsaid need always-on-the-network reality, with 3G now and other advanced wireless technologies based on 4G wireless technology standards this reality is set to become rampant on the broadband users radar. Unlike 3G which offers an average usable data transfer speed of 1-3 MBPS, our new broadband technology will offer speed of 4 MBPS complemented with features like bill limit guarantee, anti-virus for security and world class customer response services.”

The company also has significantly improved upon its already topnotch customer care services by resolving issues sooner than the promised timeframe. It is evident from the fact that existing customers of Tikona Digital Networks are pretty happy and are giving rave reviews for the ISP, like Mr. Nishant Giri, who had this to say “I am happy with the Technical Team and its support, especially Nitin Gharge who helped me to resolve the internet problem. It was not working and he helped to resolve the problem and also guided me so that the same problem does not occur in the future as well.”  And this is not an isolated incident, of the many people we have spoken to; almost all of them praised Tikona Digital Networks.

Mr. Mudit mathur says “Thanks for the instant solution. I really appreciate your work procedure to solve any technical problem/query with the help of such software ("Net meeting") which are helpful for people who don't know any technical terms related to a Network. I hope you will continue to provide fast support solutions for such Network related query.”

Tikona Digital Networks is quite bullish when it comes to the quality of its services that it provides to home users and the SOHO segment. The company has more than 2, 00,000 subscribers and is expanding massively in tier-I and tier-II cities.

Tikona Digital Networks is expected to be even more aggressive with its ambitions this year and so far the company has shown impressive market dominance. The Secured wireless Broadband Service provider is not only promising new innovations in the broadband industry this year but is also eyeing its goal for total dominance over its rivals by providing the best customer service and connectivity to its customers.

Tikona Broadband- Coverage… Like Cloud Computing

Is your ISP giving you nightmares? Are you tired of the frequent connection loses? Wished you could just throw away that damn router out of the window and wished that you could find something that could make life a little bit easier for you

Well, if you were bound by network coverage issues and were hell frustrated with all that you had been facing till now, it’s time to let go of your old ISP, who has been giving you nightmares and open up a whole new world of opportunities with Tikonabroadband.

Why Tikona Broadband?

Well, to tell you fully, first let’s talk about cloud computing a bit. According to Wikipedia[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloud_computing ]“Cloud computing is the delivery of computing as a service rather than a product, whereby shared resources, software, and information are provided to computers and other devices as a metered service over a network (typically the Internet).”

And as we all know that so many services these days are relying heavily on cloud computing, so to reap the benefits of cloud computing, we really first need to have a connection that is stable and efficient enough like Cloud Computing itself, to allow us to access our files and documents stored online on a server. That is where Tikona’s superior connection comes into play.

Not a whole lot of big companies have coverage that penetrates deep within the country, as the bulk of their services are limited to major cities and a few other small cities, so as a result people are forced to go in for a whatever connection they could get.

But Tikona Broadband’s Superior coverage is not limited to major cities and small towns, in fact Tikona has gone where no other (with the exception of BSNL) has gone before, i.e. outside the major metropolitan cities and into the heart of the country. Now you don’t have to be stuck with your slow and unreliable network…. Tikona Broadband is known for:

·         Coverage- The superior coverage of Tikona broadband has been trusted by thousands of        satisfied customers and the numbers are still growing.

·                Speed- Tikona Broadband boasts of speeds upto 4 mbps and is one of the fastest ISP in India.

·         Reliability- It is one of the most reliable ISP in the country and has been providing quality services to a few of the major corporates.

·         Stability- Unlike other ISP’s, Tikona’s groundbreaking service is known for its superior stability. The network doesn’t have any downtimes and is always connected.

There was a time when people had no choice but to hire the services of whichever ISP that they could their hands on, as they had no other option. But now, you have a choice, since our network has crossed the limitations of boundaries and we are now available in more than 38 cities in India including the major cities.

If you ever wished that you could have a connection that was at par with international standards but was also easy on your pockets, then look no further than Tikona Broadband. Let us give you the service that you deserve and connect you to your digital world, because at Tikona, We Care…

Tikona as a company has been providing reliable broadband connection for thousands of customers and our happy customers are testimony to our standing in the market.

·         Price

Pricing is a major factor while deciding on a new broadband connection. And With so many service providers in the market, it is always wise to figure out “who is providing the maximum bang for every buck”. It is always advisable to go in for an unlimited broadband connection as it is easy on the pockets and saves you from unintended surprises at the end of the month. We at Tikona strive to provide our customers with a Broadband service that is easy on their pockets as well as enables them to save on the extra cost such as the setup fees.

·         Extra add-ons

Many service providers are providing extra add-ons with a new broadband connection these days. Like a free webpage, anti- virus solution and custom email IDs. It is always a good thing to determine who is offering you the best overall experience. Tikona offers a range of added benefits with its Wifi connection including a free antivirus.

·         24/7 tech support

This one is probably the most important, since we all know that the internet does have downtimes and it helps if the service provider is available to help us get back online. Having a 24/7 tech support is of utmost importance because you never know when you might face problems logging in, and for an average person has little or no idea about how to fix the problem. At Tikona, we not just offer reliability and speed with our broadband services, but we also excel in providing state-of-the-art customer support. So, you can always count on us.

It is a good idea to go through each and every ISP’s website to determine which one is the best for you and also who is providing the maximum perks for every penny spent. Since, ultimately it’s you, who’s got to pay the bill and going in for a broadband connection that offers reliability, affordability and connectivity is always the best deal in town.
